Russ just got his first round of radiation today as he was able to get in on a canceled appt. He will now be taking 16 rounds of radiation for his back. He said it was just like a xray and pretty quick...10 min. 

They did not tatoo him...the just used a perm marker and draw some x's on his chest for basic alignment of the lasers that guide the machine.  

The cancer care center has been very accommodating  and the facility is very clean. We havent run into anyone that was bitchy or didn't want to help you in one way or another. I think some smaller facilities should take notes on how things operate here....it is pretty amazing!
